Freelance Web Copywriter

VisionPoint Marketing (a Raleigh, NC based online marketing firm) is seeking a freelance web copywriter. Ideal candidates will have a passion for writing plus at least 3 years of web related copywriting and editing experience with agencies or corporate environments and possess a strong understanding of the mechanics of writing for the web, information architecture, search engine optimization and user experience. The candidate should possess the ability to conceptualize and develop high-level messaging and positioning for various clients. This position could grow into a long-term relationship.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Candidate will gather information from client stakeholders, create appropriate and effective copy within agreed upon schedules, and manage scheduling and approvals from the VisionPoint Marketing project manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Marketing or related field, copywriting experience. Candidate should also have strong proofing, grammatical and overall communications skills, and a familiarity with accepted web copy conventions and style guidelines.  Attention to detail and self-motivation are key qualities for this position.
