I want to thank Jack Barto and the great group of folks at the local Raleigh Score chapter. I had a great opportunity to present at one of their well organized SCORE events this past weekend. SCORE develops educational programs for people starting or currently running a small business. My hour presentation was an overview of online marketing tools, focused on some of the pitfalls to avoid as well as best practices.

They are out their talking. Talking about your company. Like it or not, the conversations they have are going to be online forever. This is why you have to actively participate in these conversations. In the age of Google and the page rank algorythym, if you aren’t participating in the conversation, your opinion will be ignored.

Very surprising to see that Flash 8 is already at 86%. Also notable is that Adobe is releasing Flash Player 9 with a new programming architecture that will increase speed, add new functionality, and extend their campaign to compete with other cross-platform languages like Java.
