Thursday, March 22nd marked the introduction to the first ever statewide campaign against domestic violence. To raise awareness and gain support, the NC Council for Women (NC Dept of Administration agency) and its partners held a kickoff event in Charlotte, NC to promote the campaign that will begin in 2013. During this time startling statistics, personal stories and a panel of speakers drove home the importance of awareness in the campaign against domestic abuse.
